Quality People: The Hallmark of Success

People ask us after being in business since 1931; What qualities in people lead to success in the service industry? Consider the following:

1) You have 90 seconds for someone to form an opinion of you

2) There are few second chances to change that opinion.

Question: What is, according to psychologists, the strongest addiction known to man? Answer: Significance, or feeling significant. How are these keys to success? Apply these principles and you’ll open the door to trust. People who make a good first impression make customers feel significant by caring and doing what they say. Earn people’s trust; it’s one of the strongest human emotions.

This type of behavior, displayed by the owner to the customer service representative creates the “Marquard’s Experience”.

Well Prepared

This picture reminds me of our first restoration job in 1969- we went to the loss site but were not prepared. Wrong equipment, lack of expertise, not sure what or how to salvage 30 plus categories of textiles. We did not realize the insured’s emotional ties to possessions, but our attitude was correct and still is today- “How may we help” “We do really care.”

Fast forward 45 years – We are the Premier Restoration company in Missouri- with the same mantra of Mr. Marquard in 1931.

Well Prepared
